The Investment Performance Associate will collect and analyze performance data in support of the Alternative Assets Performance Measurement area.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor between 150 and 200 funds on a quarterly basis. Funds will consist of venture capital, private equity, oil & gas, real estate, non-U.S. global private equity, distressed securities, and alternative assets fund of funds partnerships. Manage the ongoing collection of quarterly financial statements from alternative assets fund managers along with identifying and soliciting missing data.

  • Analyze data relating to assigned funds, including client and company information from quarterly financial statements. Input this data into proprietary database for use in benchmark statistics. Discuss discrepancies with or seek additional information from alternative assets fund managers.

  • Analyze and verify historical fund data and run standard single fund analysis reports. Coordinate production with Senior Analyst and fund managers.

  • Add and maintain new funds to proprietary database as requested, by inputting historical fund, company and client data using financial statements.

  • Join teams to work on various projects necessary for improvement within the department.

Qualifications:

  • BS/BA concentrating in Finance, Accounting or Economics.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative and communication skills.
  • Strong time-management skills and ability to self-organize, as well as the ability to work independently and collectively as part of a team.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, especially Microsoft Excel and Access.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, while ensuring accuracy and timeliness of information.
