Position Summary:

Compile and prepare Workers' Compensation Aggregate Financial Data Calls and Special Calendar Year Calls for submission to NCCI and Independent Bureaus. Reported data is cumulative since the beginning of time in policy and accident year detail for the most current 30 years. Data are reconciled back to the Statutory Page 14 Exhibit of Premiums and Losses from the Annual Statement. Furthermore, reconciliation to Unit Stat Reporting will be required on a go forward basis.

Job Functions:

* Responsible for the preparation and submission of Financial Aggregate Data Calls (i.e. Policy Year and Accident Year Cumulative Data Regulatory Reporting)

* Responsible for the preparation of Special Calendar Year Data Calls

* Responsible for the reconciliations of all data calls with ACE Financial Statements and other regulatory reporting such as Unit Stat Reporting.

* Analyze Bureau Bulletins and Circulars for new or revised data call requirements.

* Establish and maintain a dialogue with the rating bureaus with respect to data call requirements and issues.

* Analyze and respond to issues and inquiries raised by the various rating bureaus.

* Work with the various ACE units (i.e. Unit Stat, Actuarial, Finance, Claims, Regulatory Affairs, Compliance, IT) as required in order to obtain required information in the preparation of the data calls and/or responses to rating bureau inquiries and issues.

* Maintain and populate assigned databases supporting Financial Aggregate Calls

* Ability to write and run data extracts from the various ACE systems to support the preparation and/or reconciliation of data calls.

Required Qualifications:

* 3 - 5 years experience in regulatory reporting required.

* Excellent interpersonal skills.

* Ability to communicate with external agencies such as NCCI and the rating bureaus to respond and discuss issues and to negotiate more favorable timeframes.

* Analytical ability in a data intensive environment.

* Problem ownership and personal responsibility.

* Ability to work seasonal overtime.

* Ability to identify and prioritize dependencies, work effort and deadlines.

* Ability to understand the data call requirements and looking at the data be able to comprehend the relative importance of several potentially conflicting issues that could cause data quality issues.

* Knowledge of Excel, Word, Microsoft Access, COGNOS, and various extract tools.

* Experience in a customer service environment solving complex problems.

* Experience in process review and documentation. Ability to explain complex processes and their purpose in clear readable language.

* A good working knowledge of Workers’ Compensation insurance including coverages and contracts.
