Our client, located in Ann Arbor, is looking to fill the role of a Dyno Tech on a contractual basis. Below is a brief job description along with specific requirements. This position will be on the midnight shift 11:30pm - 8am.

SCOPE OF WORK

A. Transmission bench testing responsibilities

  • Install and utilize data acquisition systems / Analyze and publish test results
  • Operate and perform routine maintenance of related equipment
  • Conduct the set up and removal of engines and transmissions for test purposes on the bench dynamometer
  • Conduct dyno bench testing patterns (durability. towed, gear, stall, lock up, differential, etc.)
  • Diagnose trouble issues

B. Transmission responsibilities

  • Set up and tear down of transmissions for durability and function testing while following safe working guidelines
  • Inspect and modify internal parts of the transmissions to close specifications
  • Perform related instrumentation. Including welding, installing T/Couples, Amps, and pressure taps

C. Other responsibilities

  • Support other groups as required or needed
  • Work within a culturally diverse workplace
  • Work and contribute within a Team atmosphere
  • Work with minimum supervision
  • Flexible working time and shift as necessary (3rd. shift position ) 1l:30pm-8:00am
  • Travel as required (10%)
  • Perform other duties as required. (clean up, floor scrubber, etc.)
