POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to the Product Development team leader, the successful candidate will be responsible for designing multi-layer, high-density Printed Circuit Boards and Flexible Printed Circuit Boards using Mentor Graphics software, along with other ECAD software packages. You will also be responsible for component libraries, product documentation such as assembly drawings and will work closely with internal design teams in RF, baseband and mechanical design. Working in a growth driven, fast paced environment you must be a problem solver, open to change and able to adapt to new situations and challenges.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• At least 5 years experience in PCB and/or FPC design
  
• Experience with Mentor Graphics Boardstation , Zuken and/or other ECAD tools from schematic capture to layout to design outputs and documentation
  
• Expert understanding of modern electronics, particularly Radio Frequency (RF) and high speed digital design principles
  
• Experience with HDI/microvia design rules
  
• Knowledge of modern Surface Mount Technology (SMT) packaging, uBGA, etc. with a thorough understanding of the PCB fabrication process and IPC standards
  
• Able to understand and apply best practices to minimize EMI/RFI and ESD issues
  
• Experience with the design and manufacturing of compact handheld products, applying design-for-manufacturability guidelines for high-volume, low-cost products
  
• A team-player, able to communicate effectively with peers, internal and external teams
  
• Comfortable dealing with suppliers for PCB/FPC fabrication and assembly
  
• High attention to detail
  
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools
