No.: | 8ES-056 | | Division: | Engineering Services | | | | Engineering Services employs approximately 350 people and is a department under L-3 Communications Services Group. ESD is a defense contractor that provides a full range of communication systems support, engineering services, information technology services, teaching and training services, as well as intelligence support and analysis services. THE PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: · Provide Instructional Systems Design (ISD) support for TSA Specialized Security training courses. · Serve as technical advisor on ISD issues relating to the training development, delivery, and evaluation of assigned TSA instruction. · Conduct task analysis, training design, training development, and support for updates to established courses or for additional curriculum. · Design, develop, and implement job and training aids for standalone use and to accompany classroom instruction. · Recommend appropriate instructional procedures or methods such as individual training, group instruction, self-study, lectures, demonstrations, simulation exercises, role-plays and new technologies. · Work closely with technical and instructional staff in all areas of course development to ensure continuity and consistency of material. · Review and observe instructor staff training techniques, presentation methods, and use of training aids. · Provide counsel on instructional performance, accomplishment of learning objectives and instructional delivery methods. · Recommend to supervisors areas for training improvement of staff members. · Provide technical assistance and advice to school staff on the use of current instructional technology in the development of training aids and delivery methodology, including knowledge on computer-based training, desktop videoconferencing, multimedia, audio, graphics, and distance learning technologies. · Carry out independent work assignments as directed. · Perform final edit on all instructional materials developed for courses to include lesson plans, instructor guides, practical exercises, student handouts, tests, and programs of instruction. · Ensure correct grammar, presentation, clarity and conformance to standards for training materials. · Ensure learning objectives are defined and all terminal objectives and enabling objectives related to job performance are specifically met. · Develop measurement tools to evaluate the effectiveness of training interventions. Compiles and reviews all information. Based on the data collected, provides recommendations to training staff for curricula modifications or improvements. Require BA/BS in relation field and 2 years experience using Instructional Systems Development (ISD) process in the development of courses and training interventions. Experience working on TSA programs preferred, particularly security training highly-desirable.Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite, web design editor software and computer graphics programs. Formal training certification highly desirable. Experience developing CBT and WBT. Security clearance preferred or the ability to obtain a security clearance. Travel and customer service is required.
