Senior Buyer

Leading manufacturer of food processing and packaging equipment is currently accepting applications for a Senior Buyer.

Responsible for buying and planning the movement of materials for relatively complex assigned components and equipment. Acquires materials, supplies and services for assigned areas and negotiates purchases for materials, components nd equipment. Plans, schedules and monitors day-to-day inventory and movement of materials through the supply chain to determine required level of purchases. Maintains inventory at planned levels. Gathers quotes, examines bids and determines suitability of various new supply sources. Assists in developing specifications for new vendor/supplier contract orders.

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or five years of related purchasing experience and some background in material specification design drawings. Strong verbal and written communication skills as well as exceptional interpersonal skills and attention to detail are required.
