DISTRIBUTIONASSISTANT DISTRICT MANAGER The Times is currently looking for part-time (30-39 hours/week) Assistant District Managers to work in our Distribution Center in Munster,IN. This positions would cover the Gary, East Chicago and Hammond delivery areas and assure that all newspapers are delivered on a daily basis and in a timely manner. This individual will be responsible for product redelivery to customers, assisting the delivery of late or down routes; and other duties as assigned by the area or District Manager. The successful candidate will be comfortable with early morning hours, as this position works generally from 3am or 4am to 11am or 12pm, and be able to maintain flexible hours,which regularly includes holidays and weekends. This job demands the ability to work independently as well as with others in a fast-paced environment, being comfortable with reading maps and finding addresses in the Lake County area and the ability to make front door delivery. The successful candidate will also repeatedly lift newspaper bundles which may weigh up to 50lbs. This is an excellent entry level position for a company and a department with a history of promoting from within.
