Job Description Global Revenue Reporting and Analysis
We are a highly visible group, which provides revenue and margin reporting and analysis to the executive office and senior management. In addition, we support all internal organizations such as Finance, Marketing, Engineering, Sales Operations and the Business Management Teams (BMT) with revenue and margin information and ad-hoc analysis.
The financial analyst position provides great opportunity for someone to analyze revenue and margin trends and work with the EMC executive team. It requires highly motivated individual with very strong analytical and presentation skills, ability to handle multiple and competing priorities and work cross-functionally. Candidate must be customer oriented and have strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:


• Revenue and margin analyses


• By Product Line – support the internal Business Management Teams, Business Segments, and yearly revenue planning process


• By Geography – understand the dynamics in the different regions and countries and evaluate revenue opportunities


• Professional Service – develop revenue analyses utilizing data from PAS and Oracle


• Support the development of Customer Service reporting package


• Explain variances in revenue and margin trends on a weekly/daily basis


• Participate in the publication of the Q-end reporting package; develop analyses to explain quarterly trends


• Critically review business processes with relation to revenue and margin reporting and data and process integrity


• Partnering with Business Ops and the BRM group in relation to the monthly revenue planning process


• Work with the PPMG organization on development and implementation of reporting system enhancements


• Provide guidance to internal customers on the various revenue reporting applications

Experience and Education

• Education: Bachelor or Master degree with economics, business or finance concentration.


• Work experience: 3 - 7 years as a business or financial analyst.


• Technical skills: Microsoft Office products with especially strong Excel and PowerPoint; Brio Query, SQL or MS Access proficiency.


• Other: EMC product and market knowledge is highly desirable. Prior experience with consulting or project management is preferred.
