Oracle Applications IT Specialist

NRECA is currently seeking an Oracle Application Developer to work in their dynamic 120+ IT Department

Purpose and Mission :

The Application Developer is responsible for working with the Oracle Applications Team and its internal customers to maintain and enhance NRECA’s Oracle ERP Applications environment. This individual will work collaboratively with project teams to assure the implementation and stability of their initiatives. This includes working with the HP automated testing tool to perform regression tests, assisting with user acceptance testing and production support. This individual will influence application design and/or implementation in support of business processes. This is a technical specialized position that is responsible for the following:

· Be a part of the application implementation lifecycle

§ Work with the Oracle Applications Team and business owners to develop and review requirements

§ Work individually, and with other team members, to develop solutions

§ Develop and perform unit, integration and regression tests

· Take ownership of problems/tasks/issues and work them through completion

§ Perform Oracle programming activities

§ Provide support for internal customers on Oracle Applications issues

§ Work with Oracle Support on issue resolution

· On-call “24X7” to support production issues

· Model the Internal Services banner, “Listen, Understand, Communicate, then Deliver” to promote an excellent customer service attitude among staff

· May perform other responsibilities as required.

Requirements and Qualifications:

· 5+ years of progressive application systems development experience utilizing a full SDLC

· 3-6 years of experience with Oracle ERP Applications including Financials, HR/Payroll, Projects, Purchasing and Self-Service Applications

· experience with Oracle Discoverer and Noetix Views

· experience with business process testing and automated tools such as HP (Mercury) Tools (Quick Test Professional/QTP, Quality Center/Test Director), a plus

· experience with Oracle BI Publisher, a plus

· experience writing SQL queries and PL/SQL procedures in an Oracle 9i or 10g database environment

· experience with java, a plus

· experience leading others in the development and deployment of small projects

· strong documentation skills

· proficient in Microsoft Office suite of tools

· Education - Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Information Systems Technology or 5-8 years equivalent experience.
