Job Description:
This position involves software development and support activities for creation and maintenance of software tools being provided to our customer. In addition, this position would require the engineer to provide ad-hoc support to the customer via technical exchange meetings on a myriad of topics. Skills desired include intermediate to expert knowledge of Assembly language (X86, MIPS, PowerPC), C, Python, Microsoft Windows software development and administration, experience with reverse engineering and associated tools, and a general knowledge of the personal computing industry. Candidates shall posses a BS Degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering, with a minimum of two years experience, including 1 year experience in software development, or 1 year experience in software development with a Masters degree. Position also requires a high level clearance and the frequent use and application of technical standards, principles, theories, concepts and techniques. Qualified candidate will provide solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity requiring intermediate to expert knowledge. Work Location is initially in Chantilly, Virginia, with the potential of moving to Stafford, Virginia in 2010.

Basic Qualifications:
BS CS or CE minimum of two years experience with above essential skills and a Top Secret Clearance at a minimum.

Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software. Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems.
