Job Description / Financial Reporting Senior Accountant:

Responsibilities:

Preparation of statutory financial statements for property & casualty insurance companies.

Recording of the accounting activity for the US insurance companies for both statutory and GAAP purposes.

Maintain Control documentation affecting the financial close process related to the US insurance companies.

Prepare insurance company financial filings.

Assist during the insurance company audits and States’ department of insurance examinations.

Education and experience:

Experience: Three to five years experience in general accounting, including preparation of financial statements.

Knowledge: Working knowledge of statutory accounting a plus.

Public accounting experience of 3-4 years.

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, CPA a plus.

Internal Customers: Executive management, management, staff.

External Customers: Auditors, state department of insurance examiners.
