Software QA Co-op Position
We are seeking Co-op Software Test Engineers to join a highly focused and professional software protocol test team engaged in testing and quality assurance of embedded networking solutions. Successful candidates will have specific knowledge of the internal operation of Ethernet switching, WLAN, AP, Wireless NMS, and TCP/IP routing protocols.
Responsibilities:
This is for an hourly-paid Co-op position. Participate in test team activities including planning, tracking, reporting, and support of test cycles. Engage in test case execution including defect documentation and tracking, resolution support, and fix verification. Work closely with product development teams, including direct and detailed interaction with software engineering teams. Develop test cases and plans for new functions and releases. Develop test strategies and plans to improve the effectiveness and productivity of the team, including methods, tools and processes.
Skills/Experience:
-Highly motivated self-starter; able to use own initiative.
-Experience of working in a software test environment, preferably in wireless embedded communications.
-Experience with testing design of complex software features.
-Ability to apply an innovative approach to solve complex problems.
-Knowledgeable of current wireless network equipment testing practices a plus.
-Direct experience with wireless networking products and protocols is desired.
-Programming in C/C++ and or TCL is required.
