Job Description:
- Manages division requirements management database and helpdesk.
- Manages access control list.
- Develops and implements access control architecture.
- Resolves user problems with the tool and develops workarounds.
- Explores implementation of additional tool components (e.g. Rose link).
- Tasks include creating reports from requirements databases, import documents into the database, creating and managing user accounts and permissions, change management, document formatting, etc.
- Guides systems engineers in setting up their requirements management processes, the requirements databases, and in utilizing the DOORS tool to effectively manage requirements.
- Supports systems engineers in generating database schema.
- Understands options for sharing information in the database with suppliers and customers.
- Maintains configuration control of the database including modules and links.
- Develops DOORS training material, trains instructors, engineers and DOORS administrators.
- Provides just in time customized training to program teams.
- Plans, prepares for, and executes version upgrades and architecture.
- Maintains configuration control of Division Standard template and custom DXL scripts.
- Assist Systems Engineers with requirements management activities.
- Work with requirements database and other computer tools to support Systems Engineers in their requirements management activities.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent, plus at least 6 years related experience.
- Able to efficiently import data into the database and export to other viewing tools.
- Able to configure and customize tools.
- Experience with tools based on databases, including entering data, manipulating views, and defining reports.
- Microsoft Office tools required.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Excellent communication skills and strong people skills
- Simple programming skills are a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work closely with engineers, project leaders and peer level individuals.
- Ability to multiplex among numerous tasks.
- Experience using Telelogic Doors requirements management tool is strongly desired.
