Job Description:

This is a position in western Massachusetts near Pittsfield, supporting the development of Special Test Equipment for a Department of Defense program. Prime responsibilities include development of test requirements, test processes, and test equipment, as well as the use of test equipment and the diagnosis of failed test equipment. This position requires candidates who have at least eight years of experience designing, testing, and delivering state-of-the-art electronics, including at least three years of experience designing, implementing, debugging, and supporting Special Test Equipment for complex electronic products used in military or space applications. Other basic requirements include a BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or very close equivalent discipline, at least four years of engineering leadership experience or equivalent responsibility, and proficiency with electronic lab equipment and tools. Desired skills include test equipment design and integration, some Mechanical Engineering experience including experience with mechanical CAD tools such as Pro-E, some software development experience, and general information technology competency including familiarity with version control tools such as Clearcase and requirements management tools such as Doors. This position involves a considerable amount of travel to Cambridge, MA, to meet with the related development team and the customer. This position requires a current DoD Secret Clearance (preferred) or the ability to obtain such clearance.

Basic Qualifications:
-Minimum 8 years experience designing, testing, and delivering state-of-the-art electronics
-Minimum 3 years experience designing, implementing, debugging, and supporting Special Test Equipment for complex electronic products used in military or space applications
-Minimum 4 years of engineering leadership experience or equivalent responsibility
-Proficiency with electronic lab equipment and tools
-Ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance




Desired Skills:
-Existing DoD Secret security clearance
-Experience with test equipment design and integration
-Some Mechanical Engineering experience including experience with mechanical CAD tools such as Pro-E
-Some software development experience
-General information technology competency including familiarity with version control tools such as Clearcase and requirements management tools such as Doors




Required Education (including Major): Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or close discipline
