Logistics Supply Technician



All positions require that you either have, or be eligible for a U.S. Department of Defense Security Clearance.

LOGISTICS SUPPLY TECHNICIAN: Applicant should have a logistics background with emphasis on Navy supply support and familiarity with Defense Logistics and U.S. Navy Supply System. USN shipboard experience helpful, experience in U.S. Navy requisitions and material receiving techniques are required. Applicant will function as a member of a hybrid government, contractor team; interfacing with end users, material managers and enterprise specialists to resolve material availability issues. Reorder report screening for correct material stocking classification and reorder quantity as well as requisition status, MOV generation and validation which is performed at defined intervals. Use of government provided IT resources, Web based, standalone applications, and manual report generation are integral program support functions. Good working knowledge of the Navy Supply System requirements, policies, nomenclature, work methods and established guidelines as stated in NAVSUP-P485 or other DoD regulations. Analytical ability to define or recognize the dimension of the problems involved, to collect the necessary data to establish the facts, and take or recommend action based upon application or interpretation of established guidelines. Accurate and efficient keyboarding skills, though knowledge of MS Word and Excel. Ability to acquire and maintain a Secret security clearance. Ability to function independently and as a team member in an active and demanding work environment. Occasional short-term travel may be required. Desired Education: High School Diploma required, 2 years of additional education or 3-5 years experience in material management/supply requisitioning or equivalent experience.
