Senior Biosensor Development Engineer

These groundbreaking technologies will help to expand Edwards’ market leadership within the Critical Care environment which has had a track record of double digit growth over the last 3 years.

In this role you will support the development of electrochemical sensors currently under development as well as lead the fabrication and characterization of sensor designs currently under development. You will also design and implement test methods to serve as quality control tests for incoming sensor components and sensor components manufactured within Edwards Lifesciences.

Our Requirements:


*Multi-level position: Position title and level posted is preferred. However, based on experience and education, we will consider hiring at either the Principal Engineer or Distinguished Engineer level.

· A minimum of eight years experience required for the Principal Engineer level. A minimum of twelve years required for the Distinguished Engineer level. Requires eight years experience in sensors and electroanalytical methods.

· Ph.D. in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Material Science or related discipline is required.

· Requires in-depth experience in the development of high technology medical devices.

· Familiarity with LabView, Matlab, and Pro-E are preferred.

· Must have a successful track record of developing technology platforms leading to successful product commercialization.

· Must be a highly motivated self-starter able to achieve results with minimal direction.

· Must be proactive and creative in solving technical problems.

· Requires a high-energy individual who has excellent teamwork, partnering and negotiation skills.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills, project-management skills, detail orientation and analytical/problem solving skills are a must.

· Proven track record of innovation as reflected by granted patents or issued patent publications.
