Purchasing Manager
The Purchase Manager will coordinate, monitor, and source company products including all food and non-food categories, manage the pricing of products and internal mark-ups related to the cost of the products, using bracket pricing. The PM will process all invoices related to the purchase orders and verify the payments to assure the accuracy of the cost of the product. The PM will coordinate direct shipments to the customers and will then verify that the shipment was sent. The PM will set up all new vendors and items into the database and this will include sampling process and notifications to all applicable parties. The PM will negotiate programs with company vendors including rebates, growth programs, special pricing, contracts, and local marketing.
Working hours: 7:30 to 5:30
The PM is responsible for: achieving service level expectations for assigned vendors, maintaining par level expectations set by division for assigned vendors, achieving inventory turns assigned to vendors /category, accurate pricing on all PO's for assigned vendors, procuring the lowest cost of goods (best bracket) including: cost, freight and allowances, managing dead stock and slow moving items for assigned vendors, maintain current price lists for vendors, managing code dates and ensuring shelf life on required products, maintain constant and effective communication with the sales and warehouse teams, being proactive, following required work schedules assigned by the Director, line consolidation, working with marketing to ensure communication flow of sales information on new product launches or promotions, daily warehouse walk thru's, understanding HACCP guidelines, and identifying line consolidation opportunities and takes initiative to implement consolidation with management review.
