 | MSNBC DPS PLAYBACK OPERATOR Job Description:
Responsibilities MSNBC is seeking a DPS Playback Operator to join the team. This is a great opportunity to work with the best in the business in a live 24/7 news environment.
Responsibilities to include but not limited to:
Responsible for the playback operations for NBC's live broadcast news.
Utilize the X-key controller to play out clips and the BUF Spot Box controller to cue and play animations.
Communicate with the director and floor personnel using a RTS intercom when counting back (SOTs and PKGs) to the control room.
Work closely with producers and directors under intense deadlines. Signature: ~HJ~~CB~ Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
3+ years broadcast or cable network experience in the major markets including experience in playback operations for live broadcast news (i.e. use of RTS intercom and router system)
4 year college degree
Eligibility Requirements:
Must be able to work in a fast paced "Live" news environment, working closely with producers and directors, under intense deadlines and be able to effectively multi-task.
Must be flexible and be able work any shift, including weekends and overnights and overtime to accommodate ever changing programming demands, as news dictates.

Desired Desired:
Bachelors degree in Television production preferred
Experience using the Grass Valley News-Q Pro system and IngestStation
Familiar with X-key controller to play out clips and have knowledge of the BUF Spot Box controller to cue and play animations.
Knowledge of Avid I-News and familiarity with operation of the Sony Betacam SP deck are strongly preferred.
