Revenue Cycle Data Analyst

-4 year degree in Computer Science or related field & minimum of 5 years experience in revenue cycle software. OR

-2 year degree in Computer Science or related field & minimum of 8 years experience in revenue cycle software.

-Excellent working knowledge of hardware, software, operating systems, database methodologies, desktop systems & tools supported by the I.S. Department.
-Broad range of knowledge of hospital & physician office revenue cycle systems & associated business practices & specialized knowledge in financial operations.
-Driver’s license.

-Strong analytical & technical skills; Strong written & oral communication & presentation skills; Strong problem solving/critical thinking abilities; Ability to work independently & with team; Effectively manages multiple priorities.

-Responsible for becoming the Divisional based revenue cycle systems expert for hospital based & physician practice based services & leading systems changes to drive continuous improvement in hospital & physician billing & collection processes through optimal use of our revenue cycle systems. In addition, this position would serve as first responder to revenue cycle system day-to-day systems problems & serve as primary liaison to HIS technical staff regarding problem resolution. Thirdly, this position would serve as a member of a new revenue optimization team that would design and implement software application & operational tools to alert management of opportunities for new avenues of revenue enhancement or revenues being missed due to operational errors. Lead efforts to document & flowchart revenue cycle processes & identify opportunities to shorten the overall process and/or add increased internal controls. Establish monitoring program to ensure accuracy of data flow across all revenue cycle system interfaces. Lead ongoing development of revenue cycle management reports & serve as first responder to ad hoc reporting needs of GFH and AMS revenue cycle staff on a day-to-day basis to solve business issues. Back up to decision support coordinator role in order to be available to assist in maintaining accuracy & completeness of decision support databases.
