Our client is a leading producer of petrochemicals and specialty chemicals located in the Houston , Texas area

Our client is seeking an experienced maintenance & reliability engineer to oversee the maintenance of all plant equipment, control systems and production support systems.

They are seeking an experienced mechanical engineering professional to develop and implement programs to assure reliable plant operations. The maintenance & reliability engineer will be responsible for implementing predictive and preventive maintenance technologies and for troubleshooting problems with production equipment.

The maintenance and reliability engineer will also support the development, justification and implementation of projects for improvement and expansion of production facilities.

This is critical and highly visible position is ideal for an aggressive, experienced maintenance & reliability engineer who seeks the challenge of assuring the reliable day-to-day performance of key production equipment and processes with a growing world-class chemical producer.

This position is located in the Houston , Texas area.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Oversee the maintenance of all production equipment and production control systems in the plant.
  • Drive the implementation of reliability engineering practices and programs in the plant.
  • Design and implement maintenance procedures and maintenance management systems (i.e. CMMS) to assure compliance with fundamental maintenance standards and practices.
  • Oversee major overhauls and repairs of rotating equipment
  • Develop and implement programs to assure continuous reliability of production equipment and processes
  • Lead troubleshooting of equipment problems and apply Root Cause Analysis practices to equipment failure investigations.
  • Implement production reliability programs including TPM, Preventive Maintenance (PM), and PDM (Predictive Maintenance).


REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline.
  • 5+ years experience in maintenance.
  • 2+ years of experience in implementing reliability centered maintenance principles.
  • Thorough knowledge of TPM, preventive and predictive maintenance programs and standards.
  • Knowledge of the design and operation of rotating equipment.
