Patient Service Representative

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Patient Service Representatives works in a local hospital screening uninsured patients for medical assistance (Medicaid/charity assistance programs). They connect patients with the local agencies that provide assistance programs and assist with the application process as much as possible. The schedule is 8am-4:30pm, Monday-Friday.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or equivalent is required
• Degree is preferred but not required
• Must have good communication skills
• Experience with the Medicaid eligibility process is preferred
• Social Services background is a plus
• Customer Service experience is a plus
• Bilingual skills are helpful
