Red Buffalo is a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) looking to expand our operations in both the FWB/Pensacola, FL & Mobile, AL areas. If you have a entrepreneur's spirit and are looking for an exciting opportunity and challenge to grow a business, then this is your chance. This is a straight commission opportunity dependent on percentage of sales / revenue developed, however, once your area begins to develop, you can have the opportunity to change into a salaried type. There will be equity sharing possibilities for the right person. There will be no relocation package. Title – Business Development Manager Location – Fort Walton Beach / Pensacola, FL area & Mobile AL area. (Two different positions) Position Type: Full-Time, Employee (In the beginning, you can still work in a home office until things begin to develop) Experience – 5-30 Years Experience Duties: Plan, direct and execute the development of short and long-term business objectives. Identify and develop new business opportunities within commercial sectors and/or government sectors (DoD, Federal, State, and/or Local). Develop and maintain high quality, service oriented relationships with current and prospective customers. We do have the capabilities of supporting both. On the commercial / private side, we are already involved with IT / Technology in the insurance arena. On the government side, not only are we already involved, but we do have a facility clearance which allows us to work directly with the military, government, and/or government contractors. Must be capable of technical and program interaction with customers. Lead organization to meet or exceed budgeted profit objectives Act as senior customer advocate Implement corporate policies and procedures to ensure compliance Develop and implement procedures relative to our Florida operations Implement and exemplify corporate vision and culture Represent the SDVOSB community and articulate SDVOSB goals, objectives, and concerns. Qualified Candidates Should Have: Outstanding communications skills, both written and oral. Strong leadership skills. Demonstrated experience in building, leading and influencing teams toward a common goal. Ability to work independently and in teams. Bachelor’s Degree. A minimum of 5 years experience with some form of business development. Knowledge of the mission, organization and personnel for the customer. Knowledge of acquisition, procurement, regulatory and Lifecycle management, with demonstrated acquisition experience. Demonstrated contracting experience. Understanding of strategic relationship between commercial and government entities. Understanding of proposal development, including contracting cost and pricing principles in acquiring new and follow-on business.
