Description:
Mid-level intelligence analyst with a Current TS/SCI/CI Poly to support the National Intelligence Officer for Military Issues (NIO/MI) on behalf of the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) on a military order-of-battle (OB) analysis project. Self-starter, strong interpersonal skills, ability to work both independently and as a member of a small team in a collaborative environment as well as with senior intelligence community officers. Primary individual responsibilities include facilitating intelligence community military OB conferences/working groups through coordination, execution, and post-conference reporting for approximately three events per year. The successful candidate will also help support other team members by participating in all phases of conference execution for 10-12 events per year. The overall objective of the conference series is to facilitate participants' consensus of specific OB issues, to coordinate associated information sharing through communities of interest (COIs), and to recommend changes and improvements to DIA's Modernized Integrated Database (MIDB). Additional responsibilities include supporting the NIO and IC initiatives, and functioning as an IC resource on OB issues. As this project is performed for the NIO/MI on behalf of the National Intelligence Council (NIC), it possesses high visibility with an intense level of activity, resulting in increased performance expectations. The candidate will be expected to be cognizant of major order-of-battle issues related to countries and groups selected for review, and to stay abreast of global military and security developments of national security and foreign policy significance. The candidate will also be responsible for developing process improvements and making contributions to similar activities for related initiatives.
The following are the basic qualifications for this position:
Candidate must possess an active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph. Bachelor's degree in a related field and 5-6 years of experience. Superior customer interface skills, writing and verbal communication, to include making presentations to large groups. Excellent task supervision skills (overlapping timelines/deadlines on multiple conferences). Knowledge in military order-of-battle analysis, order-of-battle database use, and familiarity using common computer software packages and web tools to include MS Office, Intellipedia and Inteldocs is desired.
