WAREHOUSE ASSISTANT

General Purpose of Job:

Assist where needed in a distribution center, including, but not limited to, running open routes, training new carriers, re-delivery of missed papers, set up of inserts for delivery, updating route lists, assisting with daily inventory control, route audits and all other duties as assigned.

Major Responsibilities:

· Run open routes in a timely manner consistent with departmental goals.

· Assist with inventory control during distribution to insure zone product controls.

· Assist with distribution center maintenance.

· Update route lists with delivery instructions.

· Assist with implementation of service improvement plans.

· Assist Distribution Supervisor in all areas of subscriber service to achieve departmental and company-wide goals.

· Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

· Must be capable of filling in for the Distribution Coordinator, when necessary.

Basic Qualifications for Consideration:

· Must be detail and goal oriented.

· Must have valid Ohio driver’s license, proper insurance and reliable transportation.

· Must have basic math skills.

· Knowledge of the circulation area in which he/she works

· Must be able to work under the pressure of deadlines

· Must be able to work a flexible schedule

· Must be able to lift 50 pounds
