Senior Product Manager: The Albrecht Group

Our client, a national food processor and distributor, is search for a Sr. Product Manager to manage a new import line to the retail and food service sector.

About the position:

Product Manager will have complete P&L accountability for clients imported Food Brand in the US. You will be a major contributor in developing the products strategic plan for increased sales and totally responsible for the implementation and management of the plan. You will be working with suppliers, importation of the product, managing transportation and logistics and a sales staff. You most be able to collaborate well with other members of the corporate team with the development of a successful strategic plan, and be able to successfully manage a sales team, while dealing with importing the product, suppliers, transportation, and logistics issues. Aproximately 65% of your time will be spent with managing sales, key realtionships with customers, and sales staff - 35% of your time will be spent managing supply chain issues such a logistics, distribution, suppliers, importation, and complaince with regulations.

Position requirements:

• 4 year degree in Business Administration or Marketing. Highly prefer candidates with an MBA.
• 7-10 years of progressive experience with Product Management with a consumer’s goods product.
• 2-3 years or more of experience with Product Management of a Food Product dealing with customers in Retail and Food Service.
• Working knowledge of FDA & USDA regulations with imports.
• A proven track record with managing a sales staff, calling on key clients, and managing sales to multiple channels.
