In this exciting Senior Project Manager role you will lead multi-million dollar infrastructure projects in support of large-scale enterprise change initiatives.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Partner with senior business and IT leaders across the UnitedHealth Group enterprise to integrate multiple business areas or systems.
- Lead a matrixed team of system design engineers, system build engineers and infrastructure technologists to successfully deliver significant infrastructure change in a large-scale enterprise environment
- Interact with and report regularly to executive project sponsors and senior technology leadership
- Concurrently manage the infrastructure build-out on multiple corporate change initiatives
- Provide leadership in steering projects toward defined standard infrastructure solutions, platforms and best practices
- Ensure the infrastructure adheres to the requirements for availability, stability, and efficiency
- Develop and maintain infrastructure and resource cost estimates
- Define and manage project schedules, resources, and delivery commitments �Complete assigned projects within budgetary and scheduling guidelines
- Manage project risks and issues
- Delegate, integrate activities, and resolve conflicts

Qualifications
- Infrastructure Project Management experience in a Fortune 200 company
- Eight or more years of Project or Program Management experience integrating multiple business areas or systems
- Managed large ($1million+) infrastructure integration projects
- Manage infrastructure system integration projects as a result of Mergers and/or Acquisitions
- Manage multiple concurrent projects
- Project cost estimation
- Eight years experience across multiple information systems disciplines demonstrating strong technical acumen and strong infrastructure technology experience and skills
- Strong project management and planning skills including experience in successfully managing major projects with use of and adherence to structured methodology
- High degree of professional confidence and credibility with the presence and communication skills to represent IT-related concepts effectively with executive-level management.
- Excellent judgment, analytical ability and problem analysis techniques
- Ability to develop effective, matrixed, cross-organization relationships
- Adaptability; self-starter; team player, quality minded, focused, committed, able to work independently.
- Database and Server experience is desirable
- Professional Services or Big 5 Project management experience is desirable
- Relevant Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
- Post-graduate degree in applicable area of expertise or equivalent experience is desireable
