Primary Responsibilities:
Intuit is seeking an Architect for TurboTax for the Web. This is one of the pre-eminent online applications in use today used annually by over 16M customers processing more than 27M e-filed returns. This is a high-profile role that is expected to have a material impact on Intuit's overall success. The successful candidate will have a history of designing and bringing to market complex web applications with millions of users and mission critical functions. Expertise in scale and high availability issues as well as leading edge web UI technologies is essential. This Architect will also have a strong track record of engineering leadership and influence skills with a "hands on" style. Important skills include developing and mentoring engineers, facilitating resolution of design conflict, and partnering effectively with PD leadership to build a strong team, create workable and realistic plans, and ensure smooth execution from project start through operations. The successful candidate will also be customer focused, seeking constantly to understand, from the customer's point of view, the problems they are trying to solve, and the solutions that may work best for them. In addition, they will reflect that understanding within a business context, helping to set product direction, multi-year roadmaps, and to inform cost/benefit tradeoff decisions that balance tactical and longer term strategic objectives. This Architect will also be a team oriented individual, effective at partnering well with other Architects and engineering organizations across Intuit to realize broader, cross product objectives. Qualifications: BS Computer Science or equivalent related experience. 10+ year's professional software development experience. 5+ years of combined experience in Architecture & System Design. 5+ years of experience building and deploying high scale web applications
