Delta Dental’s regional office in Mechanicsburg , Pa. , administers Delta Dental programs in Delaware , Maryland , New York , Pennsylvania , Washington , D.C. and West Virginia .
We are looking for an experienced Actuarial professional responsible for accurately analyzing dental experience. The statistical and data analyses support forecasting, reserving, fee development, regulatory requirements and financial management. The incumbent also mentors subordinate staff in the department and actively supports all internal and external customers to explain and support analyses and methodologies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Project future results based on historical data.
- Develop complex analysis and review results for reasonableness.
- Guide and mentor analysts.
- Advise internal and external customers.
- Prepare and present documents to support analysis to internal and external customers.
- Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & TRAINING REQUIRED
· A Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science or related field.
· Actuarial exam credits are preferred.
· Five or more years experience in applicable field.
· Experience with PC based database and analysis tools (i.e. Access, Excel, FoxPro, SQL).
