The 47-bed Novato Community Hospital is a not-for-profit, general acute care hospital accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations. The primary responsibility is to assist with the efficient, considerate, and thorough care of Emergency Department patients, according to experience and skill. The purpose of this role is to provide general administrative and clerical support to the Emergency Department and to provide for the care needs of the patient with a focus on those treatment and services, which do not require state licensure. This care team member performs detailed and responsible clerical duties in a fast paced environment.

Education: High school diploma GED or equivalent required. Experience: Health Care facility background with prior Emergency Department experience preferred. A minimum of one year experience in a health care setting (acute care experience preferred) performing medical-clerical duties preferred. Technical experience preferred, enrollment in a registered nursing program with completion of at least the first year of instruction may substitute for required experience. Knowledge: Medical terminology required. Accurate typing at 45 WPM required.
