STRATEGY. DESIGN. INNOVATION. EXECUTION.
Working closely with the Creative Director, Sr. Designer, marketing, sales and account managers to support a variety of business functions, this position encourages you to think both creatively and strategically. You'll be expected to make creative decisions that support sales and business objectives, understand (or quickly learn) basic business terminology, and roll up your sleeves to handle the day-to-day creative work. Working under pressure should ignite your creativity, not snuff it out!
Familiarity with creative briefs, analyzing and scrutinizing the objective and developing a solid creative piece that delivers on that objective is essential.
Print design experience is a must. Online design experience is a huge plus.
Experience designing to a variety of audiences is preferred.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide enthusiastic and inspired creative designs that meet client objectives
  • Analyze creative briefs to provide strategic creative design, feedback on client creative, and problem solve
  • Design and develop comps for sales calls
  • Research and following client brand guidelines to ensure compliance
  • Prepare and managing pre-flight and production ready files for printing
  • Support product managers with creative design and format development to enhance existing products
  • Support marketing and new product development with creative and production insight, design and format innovation
  • Effectively communicate in cross-functional teams and represent the creative department with excellence in all meetings
  • Innovative and strategic thinking

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS
  • At least 4-7 years of professional creative design experience (corporate, commercial or retail setting, agency experience, or equivalent)
  • Extreme knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite 3 or 4 (Photoshop, Illustrator, In Design, Acrobat) and Quark
  • Demonstrable knowledge of PowerPoint - effective use of animations, fonts, etc.
  • Ability to think and work strategically, analytically and independently
  • Ability to work with a variety of creative direction (in teams and independently)
  • Ability to generate a wide variety of design concepts sequentially
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills - written and verbal
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Working knowledge of color specifications and print processes
  • Working knowledge of optimal font usage and typography
  • Working knowledge of MAC OS X
  • Familiarity with PC (email, word-processing, etc.)
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher, or equivalent
ADDITIONAL
  • Working knowledge of HTML and CSS
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Flash and Dreamweaver
  • Experience designing direct marketing or other marketing material
  • Experience with creative briefs/requests
