POSITION SUMMARY:
Main responsibility will be assisting in the day-to-day operations of the shop. This includes assisting with leadership and development of all shop personnel, meeting stated financial goals for shop, satisfying customer relation standards, maintaining company shop standards, and recruitment and retention of quality of shop coworkers.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Team Oriented Perspective
- High School Diploma minimum with some post high school education preferable.
- High Customer Service skills
- Previous 3 + years of strong management experience with hands on approach to management
- Detail oriented/strong organizational skills
- Experience with Inventory Control (a plus)
- Success with training, motivating, supervisory employees.
- Ability to deal with a diverse group of customers and employees
PRINCIPLES CHALLENGES AND PROBLEMS:
Promote and foster a customer friendly atmosphere in the pawnshop in order to facilitate the successful pawn and sales transactions. Manage the placement of loaned merchandise in appropriate areas and provide security for customer-pawned assets. Select and hire customer service representatives. Review the shop’s financial statement, making changes in shop operations that maximize the use of the shop’s assets, controls inventory, and generate new business.
PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Maintain a customer relations’ atmosphere within the shop by leadership through example in greeting and meeting each customer that enters the shop in a friendly and helpful manner.
- Train customer service representatives staff so that their development meets the prescribed Cash America standards.
- Source and recruit customer service representatives staff, ensuring that each individual employed is the best available talent for shop market.
- Administrative all required processes and procedures within the shop, which includes inventory, PFI’s, merchandising, shop presentation, shop systems, and FSC reporting.
- Review the shop financial statements, communicating results to shop staff and setting goals for the coworker to maximize shop profits.
- Uphold the shop standards so that operating standards meet or exceed the established Cash America minimums.
- Manage and approve all loans and process.
- Evaluate coworker’s performance, giving each individual consistent and fair feedback on their performance on both an ongoing basis and formally with an annual written appraisal.
- Provide clear and concise communication to all shop coworkers, so that all coworkers understand shop mission and profit objectives. Communications should take on the form of one-on-one meetings, memos, and general bulletin board postings.
