RN - Neuro Care Area: Exempla Healthcare

The Registered Nurse opening is in our NEW Intermediate Neuro Care Unit (INCA) of the Critical Care Department. This 12-bed unit, 4^th floor of the hospital, provides direct care and assessment to adult patients (13 and over) with high acuity and/or that are potentially unstable in critical or acute stages of illness (with a non-cardiac focus). The INCA is the primary unit for neuro patients.

To fulfill this vital role as an INCA Registered Nurse, you'll provide patient care through various treatments and procedures that include but are not limited to: central line insertion, cardiac monitoring initiation, EKG interpretation, administer tube feedings, recognize and report on neurological changes, manage artificial airways, and care for cervical spine/cord instability patients. You'll also appreciate the self-propelled beds and bedside clinical supplies. We'll value your input through our clinical practice committees and other unit "best practice" efforts.

• Current Colorado Registered Nurse licensure
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Preferred: 1 to 2 years critical care or ICU step-down experience at a large community or urban hospital
