Job Description:

Morton Salt is seeking an experienced Process Engineer for our facility in Rittman, Ohio.

This position serves as process engineering technical support for designated production departments utilizing technical expertise to ensure smooth process operations. The Process Engineer evaluates, develops and implements technical strategy which supports designated production departments.

Responsibilities include:
• Loss accounting management and pareto analysis
• Providing innovative improvement opportunities to management
• Participating in Root Cause Analyses (RCA's) in the Problem Solving Process.
• Training personnel on operation and troubleshooting of new equipment.
• Maintaining Equipment documentation, SOP's, Troubleshooting guides and training material
• Assisting Plant Engineering Department on new Capital projects
• Identifying opportunities consistent with the business goals and provides input and direction on the day-to-day operations.
• Working with operators and supervisors daily to ensure the plant is operating with the Short Interval Controls (SIC) and helps them troubleshoot any problems.
• Capturing, prioritizing, and resolving triggered problems in support area by utilizing the Problem Solving Process.
• Supporting long-term optimization and problem solving by initiating and supporting area improvement projects.
• Assisting in Shutdown planning. Assist Maintenance and Reliability Coordinator in defining the scope of shutdowns.
• Project Estimate, Cost Control, Timing and Documentation
• EHS, MOC, GMP Compliance
• Managing Contractors as Necessary
• Developing & Executing Projects (Utilize CDP Process) as necessary

REQUIREMENTS
We are looking for candidates with at least a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering or a related technical field. Qualified candidates must have at least 5 years process engineering experience in a manufacturing environment. Process design, process optimization or production support experience is required.
