Production Operations Manager – Metal Forming

Our client, a manufacturer of specialty metal products, is enjoying growth in their business. They are seeking a Production Operations Manager for their plant in a Mid-Western state where they manufacture formed metal components and assemblies.

The Production Operations Manager will fill a leadership role in plant manufacturing operations. The incumbent will work largely without supervision and will be accountable for all aspects of plant manufacturing performance. This is an unusual opportunity for a career-oriented manufacturing professional to seize the opportunity to make that first major step up in their career.

Additional responsibilities for the Production Operations Manager includes:

• Raw material inventory management
• Production line staffing
• Production scheduling
• Customer interaction
• Equipment maintenance

Requirements

• BS Degree in Engineering
• 5-7 years of metal forming experience, preferably stamping
• Supervisory experience
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Computer literate
• Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma experience would be a strong plus
• ISO experience would be a strong plus.
