1) Company Overview:

The Company was established in 1954 and grew to take its place as the second largest bleach and chlorine repackager in the United States . We currently have seven domestic plants and two foreign facilities enabling us to service 24 states and 24 Caribbean and Central American countries. 2) Job Summary:

Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of chemical process and process equipment. Will control process variables and maintain equipment operation.

3) Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

-Communicate plant activities both in writing and verbally.

-Follow written and oral operating instructions.

-Start-up, shut down, and monitoring a continuous process.

-Provide input to maintenance and management on production problems.

-Willing to work overtime and adapt to flexible work schedules (shift work).

-Assist other disciplines in the plant as required.

*Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the company’s discretion.

4) Knowledge and Competency Requirements:

-Responsible attitude for personal safety and the safety of co-workers, contractors, and the public.

-Self starter and ability to self- direct work.

-Knowledge of chemical and mechanical processes. Understanding of temperature, pressure, and flow concepts for liquids and gases.

-Knowledge of chemical plant process control, control systems, pumps, and motors.

-Adjust process variables to achieve a safe and efficient operation.

- Basic understanding of lab analysis techniques.

-Good troubleshooting skills for chemical plant processes and equipment.

-Good communication and interpersonal skills.

-Team oriented, flexible and able to work with minimal supervision.

5 ) Education and/or Experience:

-High school diploma or equivalent required.

-Process Technician certificate or equivalent required.

-Three years chemical plant operating experience required. Chlor-alkali operating experience a plus.

-Knowledge of chemical plant process control, control systems, pumps and motors.

6) Physical Demands:

-Must be able to lift up to and including 50 pounds

-Must be able to wear required Personal Protective Equipment

-Must be able to climb stairs, up to 25 steps, multiple and numerous times per shift

-Must be able to climb a ladder up to 20 feet as needed

-Must be able to turn valves, pushing and pulling them into the open and close position multiple and numerous times per shift

-Must be able to work in conditions exceeding the ambient air temperature by approximately 30 degrees F

-Must be able to work in an environment with an electromagnetic field
