In coordination with the Laboratory Directors assists with planning, organizing and directing departments, meeting the mission and goals of Life Laboratories as well as the requirements applicable to federal, state and professional accrediting agencies. Also, is responsible for maintaining the ethical standards of the Health Care Mission. Responsible for operational excellence in the laboratory; to ensure that staff delivers quality services in accordance with applicable policies, procedures and professional standards. Provides development of departmental policies, procedures, goals and objectives. Implements and administers SOP's, initiating corrective action as necessary and notifying Director of significant variances. The Clinical Laboratory Manager is responsible for the direction and supervision of workflow activities in each department. He / she will monitor productivity and is responsible for Human Resource issues involving staff and clients; develops and maintains quality assurance procedures. Previous proven leadership abilities required. Work requires the knowledge of theories, principles, and concepts normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or close related field and three to five years of progressively more responsible work related experience plus three to six months of on-the-job training and orientation. Registration required as a Medical Technologist.
