This Senior Public Sector Sales position is responsible for selling Quest’s Windows Management solutions to Federal Civilian Agencies. Individuals within this role should posses a depth of government industry experience enabling them to comfortably discuss business and technology issues with mid to high-level IT and business managers within the government marketplace.


The Civilian Account Manager is responsible for: Prospecting, finding, developing and closing opportunities through the entire Sales Cycle; Developing and maintaining relationships with key decision-makers; Creating and implementing account strategy; Recognizing customer business problems and driving / influencing resources to address opportunities; Obtaining customer commitment and delivering a total enterprise solution; Maintaining current revenue and focusing on identifying new opportunities to increase market share and revenue growth; Coordinating and communicating with various internal resources in Pre-sales, contracts and Post-Sales; Working with Channel Partners to increase opportunity size and expedite closure.


Minimum Requirements:

  • 5+ years successful experience selling enterprise technology into Federal Government…Microsoft Infrastructure Software strongly preferred.

  • In-Depth understanding of technology trends and issues and their impact on Federal Government now and in the future

  • In-Depth understanding of procurement and contracting issues

  • Understanding organization and roles within Federal Civilian and their role within agencies overall

  • Strong prospecting and cold-calling skills

  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills (must submit writing sample)

  • Knowledge of solution and value-based selling techniques

  • Accurate forecasting skills

  • Ability to sell to high-level government executives using articulate value propositions

  • Must be a self-starter who is highly motivated to succeed

  • Prefer knowledge of Siebel Sales Module and Excel

  • BS/BA Required
