INTERACTIVE ART DIRECTOR

DESCRIPTION:

The Interactive Art Director is a dynamic, creative interactive design professional with exceptional experience in leading major interactive initiatives from drive-to banner advertising and site UI to content features, email and ecommerce. The IAD will advance the overall quality of strategic thinking, creative and interaction design, and will work to ensure that the cross-creative collaboration between Information Architecture, Design and Copy evolves into well-developed concepts that exceed business and strategic goals.

DUTIES & RESPONSBILITES:

-Conceptualize, design, direct, and/or execute interactive advertising and marketing campaigns; site UI and features; ecommerce efforts

-Clearly communicate and justify concepts

-Team with members of Creative Services, Product, Advertising, Marketing, Legal and Direct Marketing to ideate concepts and execute

-Take responsibility for strategically aligning creative concepts and interaction design with marketing strategy, technical specifications, planning and performance analysis

-Demonstrate leadership qualities, guiding teams and mentoring by example. Provide clear direction to designers

-Direct internal as well as freelance/vendor design teams and agencies on contracted projects as needed

-Stay ahead of industry standards and trends

-Take an active role in thinking about the client's business and marketing objectives and

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

-Exceptional web graphic design and user-centric interaction skills required as well as knowledge of development processes

-Expert knowledge of the creative opportunities and limitations within technical specifications

-Deep Understanding of online coding languages, such as HTML, DHTML, JavaScript, Flash, ActionScript, Ajax, etc.

-A strong working knowledge of experience design, brand development, interactive commerce

-Knowledge of online content management systems

-Mac and/or PC Computer skills

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelors degree in graphic design or commensurate experience

8+ years experience in interactive creative within an agency or in-house environment
