Overview:
Maximizes department sales utilizing professional selling technique, demonstrating advanced product knowledge and building quality customer relationships that result in increased sales and repeat business. Provides excellent customer service while achieving personal sales goals. Furniture Sales Associates are eligible for commission. Successful Sales Associates may be promoted to Selling Specialist.
Key Accountabilities:
- Professionally presents and sells merchandise, proactively seeking opportunities to cross-sell additional merchandise and accessories, further enhancing the customer’s shopping experience
- Demonstrates customer service as a #1 priority through delivery of prompt, friendly, knowledgeable and professional assistance
- Strives to develop and maintain client relationships
- Responds to customer inquiries; ensures timely resolution of customer issues
- Supports selling effort by maintaining department through good housekeeping procedures, including dusting, straightening, stock work, keeping a neat and organized wrap area
- Ensures adherence to Company policies on loss prevention, security and safety
Skills Summary:
- High school diploma/GED preferred
- Furniture/big ticket sales experience preferred
- Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Flexible to be scheduled in support of retail hours
