JOB DESCRIPTION:

As Director, you will have hands-on responsibility for the Contract department activities, proposal and negotiation strategy development, contract administration, and submittal and negotiation of proposals. Key activities include:

• Department Management - Coordinate department resources as required, develops proposal and negotiation strategies; serves as a resource for staff and other employees regarding contracts and policies.

• Proposals - Review Requests for Proposals (RFPs); creation of pricing quotes; examination of terms and conditions; preparation of proposal correspondence and documentation.

• Contract Administration - Administration of contract requirements; negotiation of funding and terms/conditions; summarize contractual requirements and budgets; update contract information in accounting and other database systems; track contract authorization and funding levels; customer correspondence.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

• Demonstrated experience leading a contracts/subcontracts department with at least 3 direct reports

• 15+ years of industry or Government experience with DoD contracts.

• Familiarity with FAR/DFAR and ITAR regulations.

• Must be able to work within tight deadlines, and be willing to do what it takes to get the job done.

• Strong interpersonal skills and sound business judgment.

• Strong writing skills to prepare reports and documents.

• Strong Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Internet user skills.

US Citizenship is required for the position. A current DoD Security Clearance is highly desirable.
