Aircraft Assembly Mechanics with 6-10 years experience needed in Charleston, South Carolina!!!


Fit and install aircraft skins, frames, controls and other systems.
Perform a series of complicated tasks.
Able to read detailed plans and diagrams.
Measure and inspect parts prior to assembly. To make sure parts are free of defects and the right size. May cut/grind/trim parts to fit.
Bolt, weld, rivet or chemically bond parts.
Tools include drills, wrenches, and rivet guns.

Will work on one of the following:
Basic structure or frame
One of the many subassemblies (flaps, rigging)
Install wiring or cables.

Aircraft structure assemblers join and align the pieces of the frame. They also attach the subassemblies to the frame.

Aircraft systems assemblers fit and put together the subassemblies.

Aircraft rigging assemblers fabricate and install the wiring harnesses, cables, and hydraulic lines. These lines and cables connect the flight controls, navigation systems, and other subassemblies

Tests are performed to determine if parts are installed properly. May work with inspectors to run tests. Make adjustments or replace parts as needed.
