Coordinator, Weekly Log (Loss Prevention) Job Description: SummaryThe primary purpose of this position is to administer case management program by maintaining integrity of data for over 5,000 cases entered by the field Loss Prevention Managers. Frequent independent judgments are essential. The incumbent is also required to perform all tasks in a safe manner consistent with corporate policies and state and federal laws. Essential Dutiesand ResponsibilitiesThe associate is responsible for the functions below, in addition to other duties as assigned: - Reports are generated weekly.
- Report internal theft cases to the company's unemployment vendor.
- Administer the Loss Prevention Hotline program by taking daily incoming calls, entering them into a Microsoft Access database, notifying the appropriate LPM, following up, and generating a reward letter if applicable.
- Compile the monthly LPM performance dashboard containing case activity, audit activity, professional development activity, and inventory results for 185 LPMs and 6 LP directors.
- File written admission statements.
- Compile quarterly fraud reports for Internal Auditing to report to the Board of Directors.
- Train groups of new Loss Prevention Managers monthly in a classroom setting.
- Compile the shelf sweeps reported by store managers into a monthly report.
Experience / Requirements: Other Skills, Abilities, and/or TrainingThe following qualities are required: - Minimum age of 18 years old to handle money.
- Ability to pass drug test.

- Ten-key punch speed of 4000 SPH.
- Typing speed of 40 WPM.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft® Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access)
The following qualities are helpful: - Ability to work weekends on a rare basis.
- Ability to work overtime on a rare basis.
- Familiarity with industry/technical terms and processes.
- Ability to work within strict time frames and resolute deadlines.
Education: One-year certificate from college or technical school, plus one (1) year experience in an office environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience. An Associate’s Degree (AA) is preferred but not required.
