Client Solutions Director - Life Sciences vertical

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Client Solutions Director (CSD) opportunity is focused on the Pharma vertical and is responsible for the identification, positioning and sale of advanced services for a set of target accounts in synergy with the related sales account teams. The CSD is primarily focused on driving the sales and delivery of EMC Consulting Services resulting in significant increase in services revenue for EMC. The CSD will use technical acumen, relationship development, and consultative selling skills. By leveraging appropriate EMC advanced service offerings and expertise, a CSD will endeavor to objectively address customer needs in an effort to become their trusted advisor.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES


  • In partnership with Account Managers, strategically drive new services business to targeted accounts within your sales region.

  • As a trusted advisor, build in-depth knowledge of clients’ business priorities, challenges and initiatives that can be translated into EMC opportunities.

  • Use knowledge of technology, products, processes, industry expertise, and consultative sales skills to assess and educate customers on value of EMC Consulting Services offerings.

  • Align with the appropriate practice’s Solutions Principas and Project Delivery teams to leverage follow-on business from one delivery mission/projects to another.

  • Stays abreast of status/details for each campaign and independently provide reliable booking forecasts on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis.

REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCES
In this highly visible sales role, we seek motivated, Drive-for-Results style consulting services sales professionals with excellent prospecting and campaign management abilities resulting in a history of consistent services quota achievement within the high-technology arena. Additionally, we require:

  • A deeply focused and successful history positioning consulting services at the executive decision-making level directly within the Pharma vertical.

  • Direct and measurable experience selling, designing and implementing complex, customized consulting engagements that fully leverages EMC’s services and technology portfolio.

  • A history of attaining consulting / advanced services sales quota’s north of $6M.

  • Excellent written, verbal and formal presentation skills to client and partner audiences ranging from technical implementers through CTO/CIO levels.

  • Through proactive engagement of senior IT, application stakeholders, and appropriate partners, must be able to demonstrate ability to advance sales campaigns in a needs-based and highly participative fashion – this would include consultative dialog, cross-functional engagement (both within the account and EMC), and facilitated workshops.
