Job Requirements:
- Must be physically able to perform routine duties to secure premises and do routine tasks such as standing and walking for prolonged periods of time.
- Must possess high school diploma/equivalent G.E.D.
- Knowledge of security operations and procedures.
- Understanding of a variety of security and safety devices and controls.
- Ability to maintain professional composure when dealing with unusual circumstances.
- Ability to write routine correspondence, including logs and reports.
- Good organizational skills.
- Strong customer service and results orientation.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or registered resident alien.
- Must successfully complete Georgia Mandate Security Training.
- Must be drug free and have no criminal or felony record. Security Officer cannot have a misdemeanor record that relates to theft, assault or any crime of violence.
- Must be able to communicate in English and possess reading and writing skills.
Job Description:
- Monitor and authorize entrance and departures of employees, visitors and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security/safety of premises.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to remain professional when dealing with unusual or stressful circumstances.
- Frequent sitting, standing and walking may be required for long periods of time.
- Perform all of the functions in the Security Officer’s Job Description.
- Be able to recognize possible theft, violence, safety hazards, or infractions of rules and correct/report them to appropriate delegate.
- Act as on-property First Responder to include basic first aid and CPR.
- Carry out specific tasks and duties of a similar nature as required for the assigned post. Specific tasks and duties may vary. Additional duties may be assigned and/or modified, according to business necessity.
