  • Job Summary: The Clinical Nurse C performs nursing process independently; serves as a role model in-patient care delivery methods and consistently demonstrates advanced level of clinical practice. Utilizes discretion and independent judgment in applying the nursing process to the provision of age-specific and developmentally appropriate quality patient care in the Heart and Surgical Hospital GI Lab. Functions in a skills mix environment and directly supervises and delegates tasks to licensed and unlicensed staff. Meets qualifications, licensure/certifications, and competencies as defined in the department-specific Plan for Providing Care. Applies theoretical concepts to clinical practice and continually expands knowledge base and clinical skills with a focus in gastrointestinal specialty. Utilizes interpersonal skills to maximize excellence in customer service, safe patient care, and professionalism. Contributes to a work environment of caring and cooperation among a culturally diverse workforce and patient population. Performs other duties as needed. Job Specifications: Completion of Registered Nursing (RN) program required. One year experience in GI Lab required. Active California RN License and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Other licensure/certification as specified in the department-specific Plan for Providing Care.
