Primary responsibility will be for deep dive roadmaps related to core business functions. Roadmaps include gathering information, analyzing, and communicating current/future state technology plans, process models, application/platforms, people/locations, projects, and business performance metrics.
• Additional responsibilities are to understand the inter-relationships between these capabilities with the goal of eliminating business operational issues, redundant technology, managing knowledge, and reducing cost.
• Create, review, and approve business capabilities models to communicate the Ovations landscape to both the enterprise technology domain leaders and other business executives.
• Understand and communicate the alignment or variation of Ovations capabilities with both enterprise architecture technology roadmaps and partner/vendor business capabilities to discover opportunities and risks to service delivery.
• Directly accountable for Information Repository standards (what's captured, where, how), quality/timeliness of data, and/or processes/templates used.
• Assist in the development of strategies at all levels of the organization.
• Apply industry standard strategic planning practices selectively based on the current maturity of the organization and the organizations ability to sustain change.
• Participate in Enterprise Architecture tollgate and roadmap review sessions.
• Limited engagement in 3rd party vendor reviews or acquisition/integration opportunity assessments.
• Will collaborate on presentations and business case development initiatives.

Qualifications
• 10+ years of experience in various roles within either IT and/or the insurance industry
• 5+ years experience leading teams of professionals
• 5+years experience leading the development and execution against business cases in excess of 2 million dollars
• 5+ years experience with departmental planning, portfolio management, and/or application/technology roadmaps
• 3 years experience managing departmental budgets
• 3 years experience forecasting resources to optimize effective and efficient workflow
• Exceptional communication and analytical skills
• Experience with problem or solution analysis
• Experience in a large(10000+ employee) matrixed decision making and organizational structure
Preferred Skills and Experience
• Consulting background (highly valued)
• Experience with Information Management tools such as CASEwise; Metastorm Provision, or System Architect (Telelogic).
• Working experience in the health care industry
• Knowledge of UnitedHealth Group software application portfolio and development methodology
• Experience with Business Process Modeling, Business Process Management, and Rules Engines
• Demonstrated knowledge of IT governance, including COBIT or ITIL
• Broad systems architecture design, planning and implementation experiences
• Working knowledge of TOGAF and/or Zachman frameworks
• Experience with process standards (six sigma) and/or data modeling
