Food and Beverage Manager: Fortiss

We are seeking a bright, self-starter with attention to detail to join our F&B Team at the Cordova Restaurant in Rancho Cordova.

Candidate will manage activities in the front and back of the establishment by providing support to the shift manager and team leaders. We are looking for a motivator; someone to lead, develop, manage conflict and solve problems. Responsibilities Include:

• Order, establishe and maintain proper inventories.
• Establishe and maintain relationships with new vendors.
• Oversee food and beverage inventory and budget control
• Manage menu planning, preparation and presentation of food and drinks, and monitors adherence to quality and safety standards.
• Control costs of all food and beverage outlets by successfully managing all purchasing of food, beverages, supplies and equipment; maintaining effective inventory and shortage controls; tracking expenses including payroll, supplies and maintenance; generating monthly inventory report, cost of sales report and other reports as requested by management; working with Management to develop an annual food and beverage plan and budget
• Manage all food and beverage staff by recruiting, training, assigning, scheduling, evaluating, supervising performance and carrying out disciplinary action as needed, in accordance with Company policies and applicable laws.
• Maintain customer satisfaction and employee productivity by handling customer inquiries, concerns or comments and providing solutions; acquiring feedback from customers and co-workers in order to ensure satisfaction and/or implement service improvement ideas; developing new concepts to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.
• Protect the organization, the members and the guests by adhering to all safety, sanitation, food preparation, food storage and alcohol beverage control policies.
• Maintain positive results by coaching, counseling and disciplining employees; monitoring and appraising job results.

Required Skills and Education Include:

• 3 plus years experience as a Food & Beverage Manager/Supervisor in a high volume and/or fine dining restaurant
• Experience in opening a restaurant a PLUS
• Associates or Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Hotel/Restaurant Management or related field
• Experience with high-volume operations.
• Must have the ability to make decisions in a fast-paced hands-on environment.
• Solid time management, organization and prioritization skills
• Proven ability to effectively build and foster a team environment
• Experience in resolving customer issues/complaints as well as overall excellent customer service required
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
• Must be able to work effectively in a team environment
• Good interpersonal capabilities along with excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
