Job Description
•To implement, supervise a quality assurance system (guidelines, methods and strategies), which strengthens supplier development, prevention and continuous improvement, resulting in excellent parts meeting the project targets of Volkswagen Group •Develop programs for getting the VW-required quality for NAR Purchased parts and materials that captures the mission and goals of VW GoA for current and New Suppliers
Role Responsibilities
•Responsible for helping team members focus on key management strategies and objectives
•Planning, definition and monitoring of the implementation of quality targets and requirements for staff in the individual’s area of responsibility, including setting priorities.
•Strengthen the supplier development in the NAR region by collaborating with Purchasing on auditing, giving technical advice and involving team members at the supplier’s facilities when needed.
•Execute VW Group Quality Assurance strategy of developing new suppliers for the VW products
•Guarantee continuous improvement in the use of available resources to achieve quality targets, fulfill time schedules, manage budget, and investment requirements
•Facilitate personnel training, etc. according to the organization’s requirements and specific needs.
•Maintain ongoing communication within the group, to guarantee updated quality standards, procedures and policies as well as personnel best practices and exchange of technical know-how.
•Define of test processes, testing devices, scope of testing.
•Coordinate root cause analysis of problems in coordination of all parties involved and preparation of corrective actions to address issues according to project requirements.
•Involvement in the approval of changes to the design, materials and processes before series production.
•Status reports for assessing the production test series, pilot series and start of series production for new products.
•Conduct meetings with high management level of suppliers to escalate issues unresolved and secure achieving of project targets with minimal risk.
•Prepare TOP-Management Meetings for essential decisions for Supplier Rating
Job Requirements
5-10 years within automotive industry and 3-5 years managing staff of engineers
Skills

Required:

•International working experience and understanding of cultural differences
Desired:
•Technical familiarity with Volkswagen Products
•Knowledge of Volkswagen Quality policies, methodologies and standards
Work flexibility (travel requirements, work schedule, etc.)
•Travel to Europe and Latin America to participate in supplier meetings and evaluation of parts.
