Quality Assurance Analyst

We're looking for someone with 2-3 years of Quality Assurance Experience to join our Washington office. As part of the Research & Development team, we foresee that the main tasks/projects that the QA/Business Analyst will perform include the following responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain expertise in the core framework functionality and transaction-process aspects of Aptify business products
- Develop and maintain thorough test plans and scripts for Quality Assurance that provide detailed and structured testing methodology for Aptify business applications
- Test new product applications and enhancements in preparation for their elevation to marketable product and/or production status
- Closely interact with Aptify Engineers during the development and testing of new or updated product functionality including reviewing and updating business requirements when needed
- Work with Project Leads, Project Managers and directly with Clients to gain a thorough understanding of how customers are using the software to run their business
- Document complex business processing logic in the Aptify Business applications and work closely with the Documentation team to integrate this content into Product and Training Manuals
- Document and research all product discrepancies according to established Quality Assurance procedures
- Convert manual test scripts into automated scripts using Aptify’s automated test tools
- Possibly assist in training employees and/or clients in the use of Aptify products
Requirements:
- BA/BS Degree MIS-related field
- Thorough understanding of database concepts
- Exposure to Business applications, accounting fundamentals preferred
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server
- Background with commercial software testing
- A good familiarity with Microsoft Technologies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as candidate will be interacting with clients and engineers
- Pro-active, self-starter attitude
