The best people, the best hospitals - they go together. Our PlaceThe Registered Nurse opening is in our Level III Trauma Center Emergency Department. This 52-bed unit has long been one of the busiest in the Denver-Metro region with over 75,000 patient visits in 2004. Our ED Unit serves minor, urgent, and emergent care patients, with nearly 16% arriving via EMS services. The unit is also home to the largest decontamination centers in the Rocky Mountain Region, supporting Denver's designation as a national MMRC. Your PositionTo fulfill this role as a Registered Nurse, you'll work alongside other emergency department professionals who emphasize quality, patient-centric care, all in an environment of safety and support. For example, our Emergency Department is staffed with Clinical Nurse Educators, 24/7, to ensure our team gets immediate and on-site resources where needed. In addition, and also unique to our ED Unit, we employ a Case Manager to assist the staff and patients. In the ED, you'll find a staff and management dedicated to your personal and professional growth. For example, the ED Management Team (all Certified Emergency Nurses-CEN) places an emphasis in maintaining high ENA-based standards by promoting continuous training, education, and certification (CEN, TNCC, PALS, etc), and enthusiastically provides the necessary opportunities and resources to its team members. As a newly hired Registered Nurse, you'll be precepted by a stable, unit-experienced staff and surrounded by a mentoring environment combined with an operational "what's best for the patient" attitude.
